Bank Holiday Ride

May 31, 2010

Met up with the BBT’s for a short but what turned out to be fast ride over Polesden Lacy up Boz Hill Zig-zags and home. Was pleased to get up the zig-zags in 7:29. The funny thing is all the way up the hill I was convinced I could not go any faster but on reaching the top I was convinced I could have pushed more between the second and third bends.

The return journey was really fast as we had a fast rider to follow giving a really good work out.

All the good work was then wasted at the cafe at Hampton court. My coffee and cake got “upgraded” by the person ordering into coffee and full breakfast (which was very nice) and then the owner gave us free cake.

43.9 miles, average speed 17.9mph
