Last ride of the Summer.

October 23, 2005

Today we went to Henfold Lakes for breakfast, via Epson Downs and Headley Heath. Six riders and for a moment I thought all six would get to the Cafe but at the top of Pebble Coombe one turned back. The descent of Pebble Coombe was taken easily, with hindsight unnecessarily easily as the road at the bottom was dry, anyway better safe than sorry.

This should be the last outing of the year on my summer bike which is now going to be cleaned and put away for the winter. The only exceptions would be if I enter the Redmon Hill Climb and New Years day when if it is dry I may ride it.

It’s been a good summer for cycling. The Italian ride was great, next year I hope to do more big rides. Now though I have the fun of winter to go through.
