Accident statistics

June 27, 2005

Some interesting statistics on the relative safety of various modes of transport here http://www.pacts.org.uk/policy/briefings/statistics_uk.htm. The deaths per billion miles travelled I always find odd since it takes no account of how long you do the task. Though it would appear that cycling is not particularly more dangerous that being in a car or walking, if at all.
