A nice quiet ride.

June 12, 2005

Today’s Molesey BBT ride retuned to more usual levels. A positively sedate 57 miles at 16.4mph. Most enjoyable. The route was out via West End then down to Cobham, Effingham Junction and over White Down, taking the left hand fork to get off the main road. Turned out to be a good call as the main road was being resurfaced. Then down the hill and up and through Holmbury St Mary, turning right at the top then right again to loop back to Peaslake. Then South again so we could go the long way up Pitch Hill. Then to the Lucky Duck in Shere for breakfast.

After breakfast we took an unusual route home to avoid having to go straight up when full of food. So it was off West to Guildford and then back home via Jacob’s Well, Old Woking and Byfleet. Lucky for us despite a mild shower when we were just setting off we had no rain.
